Before we get into the notes I just wanted to make a point of clarification as I would like to avoid miscommunication and information being taken out of context.
The notes below are my interpretation of what I hear at the meetings for the time I am present and they include matters which I think the public will want to be aware of.
These notes are not fully inclusive of all items on the agenda and are not verbatim notes. If you have questions or want clarification about anything I have noted I would definitely recommend reading the official agenda first provided below as well as reading the official meeting minutes when they are available.
My intent for these posts is to keep the community informed regarding what is happening in town as I know it can be difficult to attend meetings and read through all of the agenda’s and minutes.

Public Meeting
-Application Z09-2022, for a Zoning By-law amendment. Submitted by Cameron Sellers of Innovative Planning Solutions (IPS), for property located at 173087 County Road 25 (Moco Subdivision). The purpose and effect of this application is a zoning amendment to incorporate zoning relief from various zoning provisions as a result of a detailed home design review.- Council discussed and received the report. The public has until August 31, 2022, to provide comments to Planning on this application.
-Application Z03-2020, for a Zoning By-law Amendment. Submitted by John Cox of JL Cox Planning Consultants Inc, for property located at 10 William Street. The purpose and effect of this application is to permit an expansion to a Legal Non-conforming Use to permit a 2-storey accessory building with a
garage on the ground floor and a residential dwelling unit on the second floor. Report received as amended, council voted to defer until an RSC or whatever is required to be approved by the MECP.
Staff Reports
Public Works Update
I had left the meeting at this point but here are the updates as per the meeting agenda:
-Culvert Replacement-The culvert replacement on Sideroad 24-25 at Concession 12-13 has been completed without any incidents.
-Concession 6-7 paving has been completed. Amaranth St and Main St’ final touches will be
done within the next week. There is a small ponding problem in front of 115 Main St S which
Cox is aware of and will fix.
-Sidewalk repairs in front of Medical Centre will be repaired by C&G and billed directly to Allto
Construction due to warranty claim before school starts.
-Flags-Thanks to Orangeville Hydro we have the new flags hung around town.
-10 new trees have been planted in various locations around town. More trees will be coming
mid to end September.
-Grass mowing will be continued till the end of season. Branches hanging over the sidewalks will
be trimmed by the end of August.
-The flail mower has been booked for mid September for roadside brushing.
-Ditching on Sideroad 21-22. Sideroad 24-25, and Concession 6-7 will begin the end of
September.
-Bridge decks will be swept, washed, and inspected by town staff within the month.
-Catch basins around town will be cleaned out by Fosters this month.
