Before we get into the notes I just wanted to make a point of clarification as I would like to avoid miscommunication and information being taken out of context.
The notes below are my interpretation of what I hear at the meetings for the time I am present and they include matters which I think the public will want to be aware of.
These notes are not fully inclusive of all items on the agenda and are not verbatim notes. If you have questions or want clarification about anything I have noted I would definitely recommend reading the official agenda first provided below as well as reading the official meeting minutes when they are available.
My intent for these posts is to keep the community informed regarding what is happening in town as I know it can be difficult to attend meetings and read through all of the agenda’s and minutes.

COVID-19 Emergency Updates-Council and Town Staff discussed ending the State of Emergency for the Town of Grand Valley. The Mayor indicated he would be in to sign to make it official tomorrow.

Public Questions
Amy Steele – Question regarding construction management plans for infill development- communication, safety for surrounding residents and the impact. Town planner suggested they come up with a additional document that can be attached to municipal approval so that Developers and Builders. Public Meeting
Application Z13-2021, for a Zoning By-law Amendment under section 34 of the Planning Act. Submitted by Daniel Sousa. The purpose and effect of this application is to allow a reduced exterior side yard setback.

Council receives Report – Hill Town Subdivision, Monticello – Update,
AND THAT Council directs the CAO to arrange for the appraisal of the properties within the subdivision area as discussed and to schedule an in-person meeting with property owners and legal representation for as soon as possible.

Verbal Update
-Rain causing some issues with road maintenance
-Winter Sidewalk Clearing List- Phase 2 Added on. Phase 3 sidewalk are not done. Cachet has not been assumed but they are on the list and billed back to developer. Councillor Latam brought up that Mayberry roundabout not done the whole way around and the other roundabout not fully cleared either.

152 Main Street North-12 townhouse units projected. Recommendation for first quarter
Z112021- Zoning by law Amendment-Letter from Lawyer on this meetings agenda. Planner with be coming back with an updated recommendation.
Graham-Z9-2021-Surplus Dwelling Severance and the creation of an access easement- Appeal period ending on Nov 30th, no appeals, clearing conditions

Water St- Closed and will be removed from updates.
Golden Homes- Pending financing CMHC- Next year
William Street- Environmental Risk Assessment in process, intentions to amend application. Public Meeting expected for 2022.

Thomasfield Subdivision Phase 3A2-Plan Registered 7m-78, Easements in favour of the town registered. Building permits released at County Level. Issuing Municipal approvals.

Greenwood property- Clearing conditions.
-Zoning bylaw refresh- On the agenda. Page 94 on Agenda, Council receives and approves. Council directed staff to come back with quotes for a parking by-law update as this bylaw refresh did not include parking updates.
-Provincial/County Updates- Planner attended County Meeting with WSP consultants in attendance, more to come in January.
Grand Valley employment Lands- Draft Traffic Reports are being completed.
