I met Ashley at the RBC bank in Grand Valley and shortly after discovered her lovely business on social media. I knew I had to get one of her beautiful personalized blankets for a family member who had a new baby (see picture below). Ashley puts so much care, attention and love into her creations that it is no wonder they become treasured keepsakes.

I asked Ashley if she could share with me how she got started and a little bit about her products. I have included excerpts from that virtual conversation below.

“There’s nothing more exciting than choosing your baby’s name. Shortly after having my first daughter, Adaline Grace, I quickly realised that it wouldn’t be easy to find her personalized items, as it had been for myself as a child.
I decided to use the sewing skills I had learned through 4H and make her a personalized baby blanket. I found designing and sewing the blanket so rewarding and wanted to offer personalized items to others.

I love being able to produce handsewn items for children, offering personalized blankets, hats, towels, scrunchies, headbands and leggings. I am planning to expand further offering non-personalized and personalized hooded sweatshirts.

I’ve grown my business organically and regularly donate blankets to sick kids across Canada. I hope to bring them a little comfort and joy when they see their own blanket with their name on it. I design, sew and package all orders and take pride in everything that I produce. Each item is made with love.

If you would like more information about Adaline & Grace you can find them on Facebook here and Instagram here. Send them a message on either of those platforms to get pricing and more information.
