Christine Taylor has many years of experience owning and operating Christine Taylor Designs which is a custom embroidery and gift shop located in Grand Valley. Bloom Fabric Shop is Christine’s new venture and I was excited to get an opportunity to chat with Christine to find out more!

Christine has been a sewer/quilter for almost 20 years and her favourite part about any project has always been selecting the fabrics! Starting up Bloom was a way for Christine to share her love of fabric with others and has given her a great excuse to grow her own fabric stash!
Bloom is operating solely as an online shop, for the time being, orders can be placed on the website at www.bloomfabricshop.com and can be picked up in Grand Valley when ready. Shipping is also offered if you are outside the area.
I asked Christine what her favourite product in the shop is she said she loves anything by the designer Tula Pink. Tula has bold, bright, and whimsical fabrics which have garnered a somewhat cult like following on social media. Christine currently carries her “Curiouser and Curiouser” collection which has an Alice in Wonderland theme. Christine is looking forward to her next collection coming out early next year called “Daydreamer”.
Christine has lived in Grand Valley for 13 years with her family. When I asked Christine what she loves most about our beautiful town she said she loves the sense of community. She loves how friendly and supportive everyone is of one another. If you need something you just have to ask and someone is always willing to help out.
