Blueline Home Services is owned and operated by Tyler Kloet. Tyler works with homeowners and Real Estate Investors/Professionals to complete a myriad of Home Renovation projects. “From concept to completion we’ll help with all your home renovation needs, both inside and out” .

I first met Tyler when he moved to town a few years ago and came to the fall fair dance. Tyler has just moved from Oakville to a beautiful century home out in rural Grand Valley. Tyler introduced himself and said that he was new to town and wanted to help out and volunteer in the community. I grabbed onto that amazing opportunity right away!! and we had him signed up to be an on ice volunteer with Grand Valley Minor Hockey that season. Tyler has not only been a great volunteer with the local hockey organization since then he has also stepped up to organize and help with spring clean ups around town as well as helping to set up for the Fall Fair.
As I have gotten to know Tyler over the years and even had him complete a deck renovation project at my home this past summer it is no surprise to me that Tyler was eager to lend a hand the first time I met him and that he takes being part of the community that he lives and works in as a priority. In my experience Tyler brings that same commitment, enthusiasm and integrity to volunteering in our community as he does in his business.
How Blueline Home Services Inc. got its start
Tyler was a young entrepreneur at the age of 13. With the help of his Dad who bought him a lawnmower and trimmer he started his first job of mowing the school and church properties in his hometown and by the end of the summer he added several neighbourhood homes to his roster.
Tyler said he loves working outdoors and knew that a 9-5 office job wasn’t for him so as soon as he completed his post secondary education at Niagara College in 2006 in the horticulture + landscape design program he put back on his entrepreneurial hat and started a landscaping company, called Blueline Landscaping.
After a few years in landscaping rather than moving snow all winter, which he HATED, he got into fixing homes for real estate agents. Tylers Dad was once a home builder, before becoming a real estate agent, and he watched and learned how to build things since he was a kid. Soon it became apparent that the winter season home repairs were becoming a huge success with multiple agents consistently booking Tyler for jobs. Tyler that in a short period of time he was doing mostly home renovations and repairs and very little landscaping altogether. Tyler switched the company name to Blueline Home Services in 2018 and never looked back!
When I asked Tyler where the name for his business “Blueline” came from he said it has no reference to hockey, or policing as some may think. Tyler said the house his dad built for our family when I was born was on Blue Line Road in Simcoe, Ontario.

Blueline Home Services
Tyler said Basements, Kitchens, and Bathrooms are his main focus now. Home repairs are a huge part of his business and he fits in small repairs and renovations in between his bigger projects so there’s really no job that he won’t look at and entertain. Tyler feels it is important to find time for the smaller jobs as he has found that his customers greatly appreciate the help and having a contractor willing to take on the job. Tyler said that in his experience the small jobs can sometimes lead to the customer booking him for bigger jobs when the need arises as they have already become familiar with him and his work on the smaller jobs. I asked Tyler was his favourite work to do is and he said it is the custom builds-Built-ins, fireplaces and feature walls.
What do you Love most about Grand Valley?
When I asked Tyler what he loved most about Grand Valley he said the people in this town are great. Tyler feels that there is a mix of residents who have been living here all their lives and newcomers like him who moved from the city. Tyler enjoys the peace and quiet living out in the country, but he is only 10 minutes from downtown to work or meet friends for baseball, hockey, drinks, or one of the many events held throughout the year. Tyler has enjoyed coming out and supporting events like the duck race, classic car show, masquerade on main, fall fair which he feels you just don’t get in the city. Tyler also said there is a great mix of old and new homes that he can work on which he enjoys. He said he likes the challenge of working on an older home, but renovation / upgrades to the newer modern homes are fun also.

Grand Valley Community Involvement
When I asked Tyler is there was anything else he wanted to share he said “there are so many events and activities in town that require volunteers and helpers. Come out and get to know the people and businesses in town which helps make Grand Valley so special. I am truly happy to be able to call Grand Valley home and am so appreciative of the residents and fellow business owners who have welcomed me into this community.”
