For those of you who love supporting local, Davies Diner is a great option!! Davies is open daily from 6am till 3pm to serve breakfast and lunch. Everything from classic breakfasts to homemade pasta. When weather permits and ice cream is being served the Diner stays open until 7pm so you can grab something to eat and have a serving of Kawartha Dairy ice cream for dessert!

Davies Diner is owned by brothers Bill and George Davies. Bill and his wife Tina (who operates the business) live in nearby Amaranth. The Davies family and their staff have been working tirelessly to breathe new life into the diner and open the doors to once again serve the community.
Grand Valley Roots
Davies Diner operates out of the building that was home to Marie’s Valley Inn which was a much loved local diner that was operated by Marie Jordan and John Landman for over 30 years. Davies Diner owners and staff pay homage to Marie not only in keeping the diner style fare and feel they also have a picture of Marie up on one of the Diner walls.

This first thing I noticed when walking into the newly renovated diner was all of the friendly familiar faces. Davies Diner is staffed by local Grand Valley and surrounding area residents and seeing their smiles feels like a warm hug as you walk in.

Special Features
When I sat down with Jasmine (formerly of Ace Hardware) who is one of the managers and asked her about what sets Davies Diner apart beyond the familiar location and local staff she said their baked goods are all handmade as well as their pasta is made fresh by hand in house.
