Grey County Truck Training is based out of Grey County as the name suggests, Dundalk to be specific however they service Grand Valley and surrounding areas. For those that have lived in Grand Valley for a while you will recognize Owner/Operator Whitney Baker as a longtime Grand Valley Resident.
Whitney and her parents moved to Grand Valley in 1996. Whitney attended school in Grand Valley and many will recognize her as one of the friendly staff that greeted and served them at Marie’s Valley Inn Restaurant when it was open.
How Grey County Truck Training Got Started
When I asked Whitney how the company got started she said that the local truck training school she was working for closed their doors in 2021. Whitney knew there was going to be a gap in the market so she ended up buying the straight truck off her previous employer and opened up the Grey County Truck Training Facility in Dundalk.
The most popular service is at Grey County Truck Training is the AR/DZ license training and Air Brakes course.
What do you Love most about Grand Valley?
When I asked Whitney what she loved the most about Grand Valley she said “We love everything to do with Grand Valley, it’s a beautiful little town, the people are so friendly and that’s where home is in my heart”.
