I have included updates on the kiddos below, Doug keeps his calendar full with teaching and his has joined a gym this year and is loving working out in the mornings before he goes to work. Real estate has been steady for me this year but with the slow down in the market I have been able to take a breath and spend more time with the family. We were able to do some travel as a family this year which was a lot of fun and while Duncan and Rosslyn went to sleep away summer camp Doug and I painted out kitchen cabinets (100% would not recommend…haha..this is a job I would hire a professional for in future/install new cabinets).

Myles
Myles is in his second year of the construction program at Conestoga College, he is also continuing to work any free hours he has with construction company gaining experience. Myles also got his AZ license in 2023 and is looking forward to graduating this May and stepping out into the workforce full time. He and his girlfriend Serena will be celebrating their 3rd anniversary this coming March and are making plans for the future.

Duncan
Duncan switched schools this year and is now in the gifted program at Spencer Elementary in Orangeville. Duncan is really enjoying school now and is still playing Hockey and Baseball. Duncan also got a paper route this year and is saving for a computer that he will build himself.

Rosslyn
Rosslyn is in Grade 6 now at Grand Valley Public School. Rosslyn loves her cat Molly and has been having a great time attending programs at the library, playing hockey and swimming lessons in the summer.
The Steele Family Pets
Our beloved Kitty passed away this year. She left a huge hole in our lives and we made the decision to rescue a sweet cat named Molly who has helped ease the grief and has become a loving member of the family. Our oldest dog Gideon had surgery this year to remove a few lumps and he is now doing great and has been bouncing around like he is a puppy again (he is 8 going on 2!!). Luke (Duncans dog that joined our family last year) is a huge cuddlebum and likes to be part of whatever the family is doing!

Amy’s Real Estate News
The real estate market slowed down in 2023 from the insane frenzy of the last couple of years and personally I think that is a good thing. Conditions are back in offers and it seems sellers setting an offer date anticipating multiple offers is primarily a thing of the past. Buyers are being more methodical before putting in an offer and they are definitely expecting to negotiate. Sellers seem to be taking a bit longer to adjust to the market and we are now seeing listings sit on the market for a few months and eventually have a price reduction to sell or are removed from the market entirely.
Happy Holidays!!
We hope you have a fantastic holiday season with your loved ones and hope 2024 is filled with all the things that fill your cup up!
Cheers,
Amy, Doug, Myles, Duncan and Rosslyn Steele
