What is known today as the Town of Grand Valley was originally settled in 1885. Grand Valley is located in the western corner of Dufferin County. Grand Valley is a quaint, picturesque, town that is quiet, safe and friendly. Grand Valley is the type of town that you wave and smile to a neighbour as they are walking by, you will find neighbourhood kids playing a game of road hockey or riding bikes.
Grand Valley has the tagline “Nature’s Playground” on the welcome sign as you drive into town and it truly is. The main road that leads you into town curves and bends around the beautiful Grand River. Hereward park sits on the edge of the river and has large green spaces and picnic tables to relax, there are also walking trails that are enjoyed as well.
The Upper Grand Trailway is located at the south end of the town and is a beautiful, natural, 10.5 km multi-use recreational Trail.
Luther Marsh is located just down the road from downtown Grand Valley. Luther Marsh is part of the Grand River Conservation Authority. As such it has many trails and scheduled activities during the operating season.
Grand Valley is conveniently located close to the GTA and is approximately 1 hour from Toronto’s Pearson International Airport.
